The areas that we are currently pursuing as a part of the new molecule program are based on the following guidelines: |
| |
Novel molecules for emerging new therapies based on known pharmacophores, and prodrugs of approved molecules with bioavailability limitations |
Disease areas where biology is well understood |
Building on available knowledge, addressing shortcomings or issues with currently available therapies |
This approach, we believe, will help us to create products that have a better probability of success in clinic as therapies and acceptance in the marketplace. |

Currently, small molecule programs based on chemistry address the following areas: |
Design of products for specific areas like allergy, inflammation,
autoimmune and cancer |
Design and development of modified molecules called prodrugs, for currently marketed products that have a poor absorption profile/physicochemical properties |
